Original Glam Rockers: KISS

kiss in the 70sI love to post about glam style in current fashion…but Glam Rock Couture just wouldn’t be complete without paying homage to the original fashion icons! Here’s a few pics and a video of one of my all time favorite Kiss songs, “I was made for loving you”! If you subscribe by email and can’t see the video go directly to Glam Rock Couture.

Hope everybody has a happy hump day!

Pam Hogg Bringing Glam into the Future

glam rock clothing
If there is one designer who continues to bring a glam rock style into the future it’s Pam Hogg!

Pam is from the UK and has been designing since the 80’s. She recently put out a line and has been dressing everyone from Kelly Rowland to Peaches. Included in the new repertoire are some insane leggings that make me want to break out a Bowie record and dance wildly around the house!

Pam’s style is definitely not mainstream….but then again that’s what we love about her!

Everything about these pics just screams glamour and rock n roll….well, except for maybe the dude in the suit. πŸ™‚

Hope everyone is having a glamorous week so far…no matter what!

The New York Dolls

New York DollsThe legendary Glam-Rock band New York Dolls started in 1971 in New York City. After many changes in band members they reformed in 2004 with three of their original members, two of whom, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, continue on today and have released two records of new material.

The New York Dolls influenced a whole era of musicians and bands, such as KISS, Hanoi Rocks, Blondie, The Clash, Ramones, MΓΆtley CrΓΌe, Faster Pussycat and Guns N’ Roses.

Check out this awesome video of them performing thier hit “Personality Crisis” in 1973! If your subscribe by email and can’t see the video go directly to Glam Rock Couture.

GLAMOUR GIRLS and BOYS

glam rock boy and girlHere’s a fierce shoot for all you glamour boys and girls called “Modern Love”. It features models Dan Kling & Freja Beha Erichsen and is shot by Craig McDean for Interview Magazine.

I’m loving that it’s one part glam, one part rock n roll! And especially loving Dan’s pants….you just don’t see that everyday unless you live in L.A. or maybe the East Village.

Have a fierce week everybody! More to come….
